Fes to Merzouga Desert
At 8:00 a.m your driver will pick you up, start your 4 days desert tour from Fez to Marrakech, travel south toward Merzouga Sahara Desert in Ifrane, where the houses have sloping roofs, remarkable and unusual in Morocco, also know as little Swizerland. A 15min stop to stretch your legs, drink a cup of coffee. We continue south cross the majestic Middle Atlas and stop for a while to observe the Barbary apes in the Aok and the cedar forest. Afterwards we will continue to Midelt for lunch (the 'apple city'), relishing the nearby Moulouya River. Later on we will continue to the Sahara Desert over the Tizi n'Talghamt pass (1907) and into the Ziz Valley, known for its hidden oases and palm tree clusters on the Fes to Marrakech Desert Tour via Erg Chebbi. Along the road, you will see many fortified houses known as ksars—built to protect precious wares, including gold, salt, and spices, to Erfoud and into the Sahara desert.
